Daily Business is pleased to announce that it will be media partner for this year’s Business Women Scotland Awards, celebrating and recognising the achievements of women in business.

Business Women Scotland is an independent contract publishing and network company, which also runs networking events and business masterclasses for women in business in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

This year’s entrants will be judged in 13 categories and the winners will be announced at a ceremony and lunch at 200SVS, St Vincent St, Glasgow on 8 November.

Terry Murden, Editor and Director of Daily Business, said: “Daily Business has followed closely the agenda around women in business, with exclusive coverage of a number of entrepreneurial and investment events run by, and for, women.

“It is an honour to be involved with this competition which reveals and celebrates the outstanding and innovative work by some of Scotland’s high achievers.

“We will be monitoring progress and devoting coverage to the stories as they unfold.”

Lynne Kennedy of BWS said: “We are delighted to be working with Daily Business to mark the achievements of the growing numbers of women-led businesses and women working in organisations.

“Year on year, the female business community plays an increasingly important role in supporting the country’s economy, and with these awards, we aim to both highlight and celebrate the value of the talented women who are successfully blazing the trail in practically every sector of the Scottish economy and help to create more business role models to inspire the next generation of leading women.”

The Awards are open for individuals and companies to enter online. The closing date is 26 August.
