Ackermann appointed principal at BDP architects

Chrisoph AckermannArchitect Christoph Ackermann has been appointed as principal at BDP one of the world’s largest inter-disciplinary design practices.

Mr Ackermann will join Scott Mackenzie in the Glasgow Studio where he will take a senior leadership role in strengthening the design capability and oversee growth of the business. 

He is currently working on significant higher education projects such as  the University of Strathclyde’s Learning and Teaching building and University of Edinburgh’s School of Engineering, along with the Bio Therapeutics Hub for BioAberdeen.

He has delivered some of BDP’s most innovative educational projects, including the Technology and Innovation Centre and the inovo building, now  part of the Glasgow City Innovation District.  

Working with BDP since graduating from the University of Strathclyde, Mr Ackermann is an active champion of collaborative design.
