Four Scottish retailers are setting up shop in Edinburgh Airport this summer, offering passengers from around the world a taste of Scotland.

Edinburgh-based Mademoiselle Macaron and COCO Chocolatier, as well as Isle of Skye Candle Company, will open units in the departure lounge. Luckie Beans coffee roasters will also be opening a coffee cart at baggage reclaim in International Arrivals 2.

Gail Taylor, director of retail and property at Edinburgh Airport said: “We’re extremely excited to be welcoming even more Scottish suppliers to our range, especially after the success of the world’s first BrewDog airport bar.”

Next phase of Ravenscraig approved

North Lanarkshire Council has granted outline planning permission for a new Masterplan for the former Ravenscraig steelworks site.

Ravenscraig Ltd – a joint venture comprising Scottish Enterprise, Wilson Bowden and Tata Steel – will now bring individual phases forward for consent.

Nick Davies, director of Ravenscraig, said: “This is a momentous decision that will unlock Ravenscraig’s potential and help to attract more investment into this famous site. There has already been significant regeneration work over the last decade and we’re proud to say Ravenscraig is now a thriving community.
