Michael WedderburnRedmayne Bentley has hired Michael Wedderburn, a former Brewin Dolphin divisional director, who will join its office in Glasgow as an investment manager.

Mr Wedderburn left Brewin, along with fellow divisional director Craig Forbes, in December. He joined the firm in 2011 as part of a seven-strong team from Adam & Company, where he had worked for more than a decade.

He said: “I look forward to getting back into the job and re-engaging with my connections.”

Head of Redmayne’s Glasgow office, Clive Hodgson, said: “Michael brings a wealth of experience and I know he is very well regarded by clients and professional contacts alike. I anticipate him making an important contribution as we seek to accelerate our expansion in the city.’

Mr Wedderburn is the latest in a number of hires for Redmayne, which saw the firm add 15 employees last year.

In 2015 Brewin lost almost a dozen staff from its Glasgow office. The team joined Rathbones to open a new branch for the wealth manager.
