Investor Nick Train has added to his stake in Celtic following the exit of coach Brendan Rodgers which prompted a dip in the share price.
Mr Train’s global equity fund Lindsell Train raised its holding from 17.1% to 18.4%, valuing its stake at £28.1 million at a price of 160p.
The firm made its move on 27 February as the shares came off their recent record price of 166p. The dip followed news that Rodgers was leaving Glasgow to take up the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City.
Mr Train’s firm has been a holder of the stock since 2011, since when the club has dominated Scottish football.
