Company has expansion plans
Scottish entrepreneur becomes chairman of 4icg Group
4icg Group, a Scottish-based group of sales and marketing brands, has appointed Scottish businessman Dr Brian Williamson as its new chairman.
Dr Williamson will lead plans to achieve a 50% increase in turnover across 4icg’s subsidiary brands: Fierce Digital, Software Advisory Service and Pursuit Marketing. Currently, the firms provide lead generation, account-based and digital marketing services to some of the largest technology companies in the world. To help service its growing international client roster, one of his first projects will be supporting the launch of the group’s first European office.
Dr Williamson has more than 35 years’ experience of managing board-level operations. As chairman of recruitment firm Brightwork he oversaw a management buy-out that returned 75 times the investment to stakeholders. He also helped R&D tax specialists Jumpstart to become the fastest growing SME in Scotland, taking the firm from three employees to 70 in just three years before recently exiting.
Dr Williamson said: “I am excited to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. Together, I am confident we can achieve a 50% increase in turnover and a significant boost in sales. I anticipate we will also be in a position to further expand our growing UK workforce.
“The group has an extensive global footprint, delivering services in more than 30 countries.”
Robert Copeland, director at 4icg, said: “Brian has a proven record of delivering outstanding growth for SMEs – and our company has aggressive expansion plans. He will work closely with current directors to streamline business strategy, identify growth opportunities and help us reach our ambitions.”
