Medal-winning cyclist takes sales role with Findra

Marco LibrizziOutdoor adventure clothing brand Findra has appointed Commonwealth Games medal-winning cyclist Marco Librizzi in a new sales consultancy role.

Mr Librizzi, pictured, brings with him 29 years’ experience in professional sales roles, covering sales management, account management, marketing and strategic planning, and 33 years’ experience in the cycling industry.

He joins Findra from lifestyle fashion clothing brand Animal, where he had been head of sales since 2017. Prior to that, Mr Librizzi was sales director for 2pure, a distribution business operating in the active lifestyle market.

Alongside his sales career, he represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and 2006 as a member of the cycling team, winning a bronze medal in the Team Sprint in 2002.

He will be working to increase Findra’s wholesale activity with existing and new retailers throughout the UK, and sourcing regional agents to represent the company across the country. He will also build on the brand’s overseas success, implementing an export strategy.

Findra founder and CEO Alex Feechan, pictured, said: “The board recognised the need for a multi-channel approach to sales and distribution. Having identified wholesale opportunities as a key area of growth, we are delighted to welcome Marco to the team.

“His extensive experience in the bike and outdoor sports and clothing Industries speaks for itself. We are very excited to be working with Marco to grow our retail partners within the UK and beyond.”

Mr Librizzi said: “I have watched the brand closely since its launch, and the growth and development has been amazing, from a few products to a full- performance lifestyle brand in just a few years. I’m really looking forward to working with the brand’s retail partners and helping them take Findra to new heights.”

The company launched in 2014 as a women’s cycle-wear brand, designing stylish, sustainable, performance clothing, and has since expanded into the wider outdoor and active lifestyle market. The brand released its first capsule menswear collection in May 2018. Based in Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders, a second retail space opened in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge area in the same month.

The new appointment reinforces the brand’s commitment to continued nationwide and international growth.
