Dragons’ Den contestant takes manager role at RTC
Entrepreneur Gill Hayward, who secured funding from Dragons’ Den duo Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, has been appointed managing director of Edinburgh and London-based company RTC Leadership & Coaching.
Ms Hayward, who is originally from Edinburgh, will operate from the firm’s London office and will be responsible for nurturing existing projects and driving new business.
Founder and CEO, Ros Taylor, will focus on enhancing global proposition in the US & China and delivering the company’s coaching proposition.
Ms Hayward is an experienced business leader who has shaped the strategic direction of the commercial and sales teams at some of the UK’s leading broadcasters including Viacom and Channel 5.
In 2010, she co-created YUUbag, a unique activity backpack for children with a fold-down desk and multiple compartments and pockets. Over the last eight years as co-founder and director, Ms Hayward has helped grow her brand and develop its sales internationally.
On her appointment, Ms Hayward said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my wealth of commercial experience to lead the next phase of business and client development for RTC and building upon the fantastic growth delivered by the team in 2018.”
Ms Taylor said: “Gill is a commercial operator with an eye for identifying strategic opportunities and driving businesses forward.
“Her experience in senior roles and across multiple sectors will be a huge asset to RTC. Her appointment as managing director will help take us forward during a very exciting time for the company.”
