Lindsay Dixon is joining STV as the group’s new chief financial officer


Scottish Television has named Lindsay Dixon as its new chief financial officer, replacing the outgoing George Watt next year.

A chartered accountant with commercial experience gained across a range of sectors covering the FTSE 100, 250 and large private companies, she joins STV from William Grant & Sons, where she holds the role of group financial controller.

Prior to this, she was group financial controller of The Weir Group.

Simon Pitts, STV chief executive, said: “I am delighted she is joining STV at such an exciting time in the delivery of our strategic growth plan.”

Ms Dixon added: “I am really excited to be joining STV as the company progresses an ambitious growth strategy and look forward to working with Simon, the board and the wider team at STV.”

Mr Watt is leaving at the end of March after 20 years with the group.

  1. Dear Linda, i would like to bring out a new product that will go global and generate millions of pounds worldwide, and fund all S T V staff with a lucrative pension scheme second to none.
