Dave MainScottish housebuilder, Springfield Properties, has announced two newly-created managing director positions in its private housing division.

Dave Main, who has been with Springfield for almost 20 years, has been promoted from development manager to managing director for the north of Scotland. Peter Matthews, a former senior executive at Keepmoat Homes and Taylor Wimpey, has joined as managing director for central Scotland.

The two positions enhance the company’s management structure and support the execution of its growth strategy, which is focused on geographic expansion and progressing the development of its five village sites.

The managing directors are responsible for expediting geographic expansion by providing a regional sales focus and increasing operational efficiency.

Innes Smith, CEO of Springfield, said: “With our four managing directors now in place, each with a clear remit to grow their part of the Springfield business, and having further capitalised the company through listing on AIM last year, we have strengthened the foundations of the company and are in a better position than ever to ensure sustainable, long-term growth.”
