Ambitious development unveiled
Dundee waterfront targeted for Scotland’s tallest building
Soaring ambition: Discovery Heights
InverTay Homes has unveiled proposals to build a 462ft-high, 39-storey tower on the Dundee waterfront which would be the tallest building in Scotland.
The ambitious plan for Discovery Heights, between the V&A Museum and the Tay Road Bridge, would transform the cityscape and be another sign of the city’s growing confidence.
Discovery Heights includes a five-star hotel, conference centre, luxury apartments and a Sky Bar.
If passed, the skyscraper would be taller than Glasgow Tower, part of Glasgow Science Centre, which stands at 416ft.
InverTay Homes director of operations Edward Wighton said the next step would be to assess the site to see if the building was achievable before applying for planning permission.
