Mark Boyd: ‘great support’
Nostalgia Cases, an Edinburgh company which designs mobile phone cases, is celebrating a hat-trick of wins after netting deals with Hibs, Hearts and Edinburgh City.
The three capital clubs are the latest SPFL outfits to sign official licensing deals with the business which launched six months ago, with St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton and Ayr United already on board.
Founder Mark Boyd has seen the product offering grow from 250 cases to more than 900, featuring in excess of 250 team designs which can be made to order for up to 100 phone models.
“It has been great to see so much support within the local area, with Hearts, Hibs and Edinburgh City all coming on board within a week of each other,” he said. “We’ve now got licensing deals with 16 professional clubs.”
Marilyn Stewart, head of retail for Hearts, said: “We are delighted to offer Hearts supporters the opportunity to purchase a phone case featuring some of the most iconic jerseys from the club’s history.”
Hibs commercial manager Michael Pentland added: “We are excited to be partnering with Nostalgia Cases giving supporters a chance to purchase a unique phone case to reminisce about past shirts.”
Chairman of Edinburgh City, Jim Brown, commented: “Nostalgia Cases have brought an exciting and innovative idea to the market which is proving popular with fans of many clubs already. We hope this partnership will provide our supporters with a new and unique way for them to back the club.”
