David Watt, executive director of the Institute of Directors in Scotland is to step down from his role next year, the IoD has announced.

Mr Watt will leave in April 2019 after 15 years’ service.

Aidan O’Carroll, chair of IoD Scotland, paid tribute to his colleague, saying: “We are extremely grateful for the contribution that David has made not only to the IoD over the last 15 years, but more broadly to Scotland and its business community.

“We will shortly start the process of looking for candidates to take up this important and challenging role.”
