Superglass CEO joins Construction Scotland
The group is recognised by the Scottish government and its agencies as the representative voice of the industry in Scotland. It brings together key figures from the private and public sector to drive sector growth and industry wide collaboration.
Stirling-based Superglass is a manufacturer of glass mineral wool insulation products, which became part of the Russian TechnoNICOL group of companies in 2017.
Before joining Superglass in 2013, Mr Munro spent 16 years in senior management roles with NCR Corporation, and was previously managing director of the education division at Havelock Europa PLC. A graduate of Heriot-Watt University, Mr Munro also chairs the Mineral Wool Manufacturers Association and is a Stirling City Commissioner.
He said: “It’s important that the ILG represents the views of the entire construction industry, including supply chain companies like Superglass. Insulation also plays a vital role in the future of the sector, as investment in the fabric of our homes and buildings is good for the economy, increases productivity and enhances sustainability – all of which are aims of Construction Scotland.”
