Key role for legal firm
Immigration specialist for Burness Paull
Scottish legal practice Burness Paull has hired immigration law specialist Jamie Kerr, which the firm regards as a key appointment as Britain prepares to leave the EU.
Mr Kerr sits on the Scottish Government’s Strategic Labour Market Review Group and the Immigration and Asylum Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
He tutors human rights law at the University of Glasgow and is an ad-hoc lecturer on immigration and asylum law at various Scottish and European Universities. Jamie also sits on the Constitutional Law Committee of the Law Society of Scotland and is a member of the CBI Scotland board.
He said his new role “represents an exciting opportunity”.
