Bridge Inn: almost four hundred years of history

Hospitality group Buzzworks Holdings, has acquired The Bridge Inn in Linlithgow as part of its expansion into the east of Scotland.

The inn, which was vacant at the point of sale, was originally a coaching inn and dates back to 1660. The redevelopment will represent a £750,000 investment and provide 40 jobs.

Refurbishment work is due to start later this year, which will include extending and modernising the property.

Buzzworks currently operates five House venues in Ayr, Bridge of Weir, Kilmarnock, Kilwinning and Stewarton.

The portfolio also includes outlets in Largs, Prestwick, Troon, a soon-to-open facility in South Queensferry.

Colin Blair, Buzzworks chairman, said: “Branching out from the west of Scotland is an ambitious move for us, but one we are really excited to develop. We can’t wait to open the doors of Scotts South Queensferry and then start work on our next project in Linlithgow.

“The Bridge Inn has a lot of history and character, which makes it a perfect addition to our House collection.”
