Proven track record in water sales
Sales and marketing director joins Business Stream
Edinburgh-based water retailer Business Stream has appointed Lee Shipsey (pictured) as sales and marketing director.
With over two decades of experience in the water industry, Mr Shipsey is currently sales and marketing director at Wave – a joint venture set up between Anglian Water Business and NWG Business in advance of the opening of the English water market in April 2017.
With a proven track record in retail water sales, marketing and developing value added solutions, Mr Shipsey will join Business Stream in September. He will be responsible for the leadership and direction of Business Stream’s sales, marketing and added value solutions teams.
Jo Dow, chief executive, said: “Lee joins us at an incredibly exciting time for the business as we maintain our position as the market leader in Scotland and build on the success we’ve achieved to date in the English market.
This latest appointment will strengthen our senior management team and help us drive forward our ambitious plans.”
Since the opening of the £2.5bn English water market, Business Stream has secured more than £155 million of new contract wins, including the UK wide portfolios of Greggs, Morrisons and Network Rail.
The retailer also recently announced plans to help its customers reduce their water consumption by 20%. The pledge, announced by the firm’s CEO, Jo Dow, forms part of Business Stream’s on-going commitment to promote the importance of water efficiency and to pro-actively work with its customers across the UK to reduce their water use.
