Food and beverage hires

New team ready to serve Principal guests

New team: Back – Colin Brand, Kris Currie, John Greenhill and Paul Connolly. Front – Namiki Ikeshima, Andreas Maszczyk and Louise Hamilton


The Principal Edinburgh George Street has expanded its management team with six appointments in the food and beverage team.

Namiki Ikeshima joins the company as business development manager with responsibility for driving business for the food and beverage department with a focus on improving guest engagement. 

Colin Brand becomes F&B manager with responsibility for operations and business development. 

Kris Currie is the new head chef for the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen, Burr & Co. and Principal Edinburgh George Street taking over the position from Chris Niven.  

Louise Hamilton has been recruited as F&B administrator, supporting the management team with responsibility for guest relations for the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen as well as improving front and back of house communications.   

Event operations manager John Greenhill has an expansive career in the hospitality industry having started out in the licensed trade in 1985.  

Paul Connolly joins as bars manager overseeing all bar operations in the hotel with a focus on the Printing Press Bar & Kitchen. 

Commenting on the appointments, general manager Andreas Maszczyk, said:  “Our newly expanded team will be instrumental in driving our business forward ensuring creativity, best practice and innovation in our F&B offering.”
