New senior team at Bell’s Food Group

New team: Gordon Smith, Samantha Murray and David M Bell


 

Pie and pastry manufacturer Bells Food Group has strengthened its senior team with a number of appointments.

Three promotions have been made to the board – third generation family members David M Bell (Logistics Director) and Samantha Murray (Finance Director) – and Gordon Smith (Sales and Marketing Director).

Debbie Briody joins the company this month from Highland Spring as Group Operations Director.

Mr Bell has worked in the family business for more than 36 years from helping out during school holidays, joining the van delivery team in 1982, to his current appointment as Logistics Director. 

Ms Murray’s grandfather and father before her have also held the office of Finance Director.

Mr Smith joined Bells in 2015 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the food and drink industry in sales, consumer marketing and senior commercial roles.

Ms Briody (right) is a chartered chemical engineer with 25 years’ experience in manufacturing primarily focused in the drinks industry. 

Managing Director, Ronnie Miles said: “Our new senior appointments… signify a real step change for the business, as we build capacity and expertise at a senior level to continue our ambitious expansion and innovation plans. 

“Appointing two members of the Bell family to the corporate board is an absolute honour and both David and Samantha will help shape and secure the success of the business for this and future generations.”
