Edrington welcomes non-executive director
Ms Fitzgerald brings international and digital marketing experience of managing some of the world’s best known luxury fragrance brands.
She is currently vice president of corporate marketing at Esteé Lauder’s EMEA division based in Paris.
Ms Fitzgerald is a German national who began her career with Unilever where she rose to become global marketing director for Lagerfield, Valentino, and Sherrer fragrances. Prior to joining Esteé Lauder she spent 15 years with Coty, managing many of the company’s prestige brands before moving into a strategic development role where she advanced go-to-market strategies across the company’s emerging markets.
Ms Fitzgerald’s skills are therefore well matched to Edrington’s on-going growth and international expansion.
She joins as Callum Barton plans to step down from the board at the end of July after completing 11 years as non-executive Director.
Crawford Gillies, chairman, said: “(Ms Fitzgerald) brings significant strategic development experience as well as expertise in building international premium brands, which will be valuable in supporting the continued growth of the company.
“I would also like to thank Callum Barton who has provided great service in a period in which Edrington has grown into an international premium brands company, and especially for his advocacy of the new Macallan Distillery and Visitor Centre which will open in June.”
