Brightsolid appoints chief sales officer
Malcolm Smith, previously head of sales, has been promoted to the newly created role and will be responsible for co-ordination, functional management and strategic leadership of all sales initiatives.
Mr Smith, who has been with the company for almost 13 years, has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology industry in Scotland.
The company has recently strengthened its solutions offerings and restructured its business to meet the changing needs of clients as the technology market increasingly shifts towards cloud computing.
The strategic changes have been driven by new chief executive, Elaine Van Der Berg, who said: “Our industry is moving at an unprecedented pace and to thrive in these exhilarating times, we need to evolve our approach as a business.
“In order to drive digital transformation, many businesses will have to revise their data hosting strategies within the next four years, representing a huge opportunity for us.
