Morton Fraser welcomes corporate partner

Alan MeekScottish law firm Morton Fraser is expanding its corporate restructuring and insolvency team with the appointment of Alan Meek (pictured) as a partner in the firm’s Glasgow office.

Mr Meek, a practitioner in the corporate restructuring and insolvency sector, joins the 29 strong corporate team. In his new role, he will be advising insolvency practitioners, lenders and other stakeholders in all aspects of corporate insolvency and recovery.

Iain Young, partner and head of the corporate restructuring and insolvency team, said: “The addition of a second corporate partner in Glasgow, together with the ongoing recruitment of more team members, is a clear demonstration of our ambition and confidence in our corporate offering generally and our restructuring and insolvency practice in particular.

“The addition of Mr Meek alongside partner Paul Geoghegan in our Glasgow office brings further depth and expertise in this area.”

Mr Meek said: “It’s an exciting prospect to join Morton Fraser at a time when it is looking to build on its work in corporate insolvency and restructuring.  I am looking forward to working with different people in the business and using my insights and experience to help grow the firm’s client base in this area.”
