Everyman brings movies to top shopping mall
Boutique viewing: a new cinema for Glasgow
Everyman Cinemas, a growing independent boutique operator, is opening its first Scottish venue this autumn in a city shopping mall.
The three intimate auditoriums, seating 95, 74 and 36 customers respectively, will be located in Glasgow’s Princes Square in a unit previously occupied by Dwell.
A 30-year lease on the premises will make it the 23rd Everyman Cinemas site in the UK.
Crispin Lilly, CEO of the company, said: “Glasgow is a vibrant city and we are looking forward to delivering something special for the community.
“We aim to make every guest’s visit special no matter what they choose to watch, and make them fall back in love with a night at the cinema.”
The venue will offer food and drink and sofa seating to create an intimate experience for movie-goers.
Andrew Foulds, portfolio director for Redevco, the owner of Princes Square, said: “The decision by Everyman Cinema to choose Princes Square as its first location in Scotland will add a new leisure dimension to complement our premium retail and restaurant mix.”
