Bellair acquires prime Livingston site
Pentland House (centre): due for demolition
Property developer Bellair (Scotland) has acquired a prime development site of 1.35 acres in central Livingston in an off-market transaction for an undisclosed sum.
The Falkirk-based company will demolish five storey Pentland House in Almondvale Road and plans to offer it for a mix of commercial and residential uses.
Fund management firm Kennedy Wilson has sold the site and Bellair will also acquire the site’s Heritable title from West Lothian Council. Demolition work will begin next month.
Colin Campbell, director of Bellair (Scotland), said: “The property is strategically positioned within Livingston’s town centre so provides us with an excellent location for redevelopment.”
Crawford Geddes, co-director added: “This is a development opportunity we’ve been pursuing for several years in its various different guises so it’s great to have finally been able to secure the site for Bellair’s plans.”
HSA Retail has been appointed selling/letting agent with 3D Reid architects currently working on a development feasibility study.
