Harry and Meghan to visit cafe for homeless
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: heading to Scotland (BBC)
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will visit Edinburgh next week on their first official joint visit to Scotland.
The couple, who will be married in May, will visit a social enterprise cafe on Tuesday and help to mark the Scottish Year of Young People 2018.
At the castle they will watch the One O’clock Gun being fired before heading to a branch of Social Bite, which distributes 100,000 items of food and hot drinks to homeless people each year.
Social Bite, run by Josh Littlejohn, has developed a reputation for drawing top names to view its work. Celebrity visitors include George Clooney and Leonardo di Caprio who both addressed the Scottish Business Awards organised by Mr Littlejohn.
Prince Harry and Ms Markle will round off their visit by attending a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse to celebrate youth achievements marking Scotland’s Year of Young People.
