Office opens in Manchester

Farrpoint seeking growth south of border

Andrew MuirIT, telecoms and infrastructure consultancy FarrPoint has opened an office in Manchester to support its expansion across the North of England. 

The firm, founded in Edinburgh 10 years ago, is projecting an increase of almost 50% in turnover by the end of the March 2018 and has expanded its team to 15 employees, a growth of over a quarter in the past year.

Andrew Muir (pictured), co-founder and director, said: “Our new office in Manchester.  will be our base in the North of England as we continue to grow and work on new projects in this area.

“The region is a hot bed for technology startups and SMEs, with hubs in both Manchester and Newcastle growing at a speed that rivals those based in Edinburgh and London.

“There is also a great deal of opportunity for FarrPoint in the public sector space in the area, with the ongoing city deals and LFFN (Local Full Fibre Networks) programme.”

He said the company has plans to take on further staff south of the border.

“We have already successfully completed a diverse range of projects in the North of England, working with both local authorities and private companies. Our physical presence in Manchester will help us to build on this.”
