Husband takes new food marketing role
Ms Husband will lead the organisation’s work in the new UK market strategy being finalised by the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership to drive growth opportunities for Scottish suppliers as well as build their capability.
She has spent a career working in the industry, most recently as sales & marketing director at AK Stoddart, one of Scotland’s leading red meat businesses. She has also held senior roles at Malton Foods and Waverley Vintners.
Ms Husband will join Scotland Food & Drink team on 10 January and develop a UK market team.
James Withers, chief executive of Scotland Food & Drink, said: “Lucy brings with her extensive knowledge from working with the top retail and foodservice businesses in the UK and her experience in leading on the commercial strategy of multi-million-pound business like AK Stoddart will be invaluable to us.
“Collaboration and ambition has been the cornerstone of our export success in recent years. Lucy will bring a similar focus to our work in our home market, which is the foundation of our sector’s success.”
