Celtic to take on Zenit St Petersburg

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side will face Russian opposition in the last 32 of the Europa League (pic: SNS Group).

Celtic will take on Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in the last 32 of the Europa League.

The Scottish champions were in the unseeded pot for the draw made in Nyon and Brendan Rodgers’ outfit will welcome Zenit to Parkhead on 15 February before the return leg seven days later.

Zenit, who defeated Rangers to win the UEFA Cup in 2008, are currently fourth in Russia’s Premier League and were top scorers in the group stage of the tournament.

Arsenal were drawn against Swedes Ostersunds, who are managed by Englishman Graham Potter.

The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League saw Chelsea paired against five-time winners Barcelona, while Tottenham tackle last year’s runners-up Juventus.

Manchester City take on Swiss champions Basel, with Liverpool up against Porto. Manchester United face Spanish opposition in the shape of Sevilla.

The pick of the draw is Real Madrid’s meeting with Paris St-Germain.

Four first legs will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday 13/14 February, and the remainder the following week.
