Glasgow growth: Marisa Carroll, Nicki Denholm and Fiona Todd

Denholm Associates, the marketing recruitment agency, has opened a Glasgow office and has plans to grow the team in the city.

Fiona Todd has joined from Search Consultancy and will head the office working closely with Denholm COO Marisa Carroll and Denholm founder and CEO, Nicki Denholm.

Contract wins from new and existing clients, has kept the firm on track to post double digit top-line growth for the full year.

In recent years, Denholm has pioneered the use of technology and digital communications to help clients attract specialist marketing and commercial talent from across the globe to Scotland.

Mrs Denholm said: “It’s a bit of a paradox in today’s technological world with all the talk about AI and remote working, that professional services like search and recruitment have never been more reliant on close personal service.”

Denholm about to celebrate its 15th anniversary and next year will see a push to grow the business in the west of Scotland.

“We found that Fiona was the main obstacle – she had built up a huge client following in the five years she’d been operating in Glasgow since coming home from a career overseas.

“When we analysed the career moves in marketing, communications, digital, brand and events among professionals at all levels up to C-suite we noticed that Fiona was involved in a huge percentage of them. So we were absolutely delighted when Fiona agreed to join us.”

Ms Todd said: “With the pace of technological change hotting up – for example Denholm have been doing some very interesting stuff in the field of behavioural assessment technology and the use of video, as well as online candidate specifications – it feels like a great time to be joining the team.”
