Richard Irvin secures £10m contract extension

Mark Buchan, Richard IrvinRichard Irvin Energy Solution’s Technical FM team has been awarded a two-year contract with CarillionAmey to provide maintenance and support at the army barracks and military bases in Hampshire, Dorset and Northern Ireland. 

The £10 million contract builds on the company’s three-year relationship with CarillionAmey. 

Aberdeen-based Richard Irvin has delivered mechanical and electrical maintenance, repair and projects works at the MOD bases in Leuchars and Condor.

Mark Buchan (pictured), the company’s business unit director technical FM, said: “As a result of the contract we will be transferring teams in each area from the outgoing contractors, adding an additional 100 employees to the Richard Irvin headcount during November.” 

The business turns over £45m a year, with a large percentage of this now coming from outside its North-East heartland.
