Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to marry at Windsor Castle next May
The wedding will take place in St George’s Chapel, said Kensington Palace, adding that the Royal Family will pay for the event including the service, music, flowers and reception.
Prince Harry, 33, and Ms Markle, 36, are said to be “leading the planning process for all aspects of the wedding” and were working through ideas on how members of the public could “feel part of the celebrations”.
A date is still to be announced.
The American actress intends to become a British citizen and will work towards it in the coming years.
The prince and Ms Markle will carry out their first official engagement together in Nottingham on Friday.
They will go on a walkabout and visit the Nottingham Contemporary which is hosting a Terrence Higgins Trust World Aids Day charity fair. They will also attend Nottingham Academy.
Ms Markle will not be continuing her work on gender with the United Nations or with other organisations, and instead would take up new charitable work as a full-time royal.
