Owners of growing businesses and key decision makers were encouraged to make the most of business innovation at the launch of a new scale-up programme in Edinburgh.
Nine companies pitched their business proposition at the inaugural meeting of Scale: Edinburgh which aims to take them from the start-up stage to the next phase of development.
The event, held at the Codebase technology incubator, drew a range of individuals from the Scottish entrepreneurial eco-system, including potential investors.

Douglas Shand, head of innovation at PwC, which is rolling out the programme across the UK, said it was designed to help companies and investors collaborate.
“It is about change and opportunity. We are living through a time when the rate of change is very fast, but likely to get faster,” he said, speaking to Daily Business.
“Tonight is about harnessing innovation to enable change.”
He said high growth companies of the future are different to those of the past and it was important to bring the key players together to help these firms navigate their way through the process of growth.
The companies presenting and showing their plans were: Allatus, Airts, BEMO, Care Sourcer, Encompass, Healthy Nibbles, Money Dashboard, Symphonic Software and Zonefox.
