Framework partners announced

Four firms in £160m housing project

Kier Construction is among the firms providing maintenance work

Four construction companies will undertake renovation and maintenance improvements to thousands of council houses throughout Aberdeenshire over the next four years.

Bancon, Everwarm, Kier Construction and Mitie have been named principal supply chain partners on the council’s £160 million social housing improvement framework.

They will work on a range of tasks from roofing to installing new bathrooms and kitchens.

The work complies with energy efficiency legislation which aims to reduce energy consumption, fuel poverty and the emission of greenhouse gases for social housing in Scotland.

Aberdeenshire Council Head of Housing Rob Simpson said: “Aberdeenshire Council is committed to undertake a programme of social housing improvement works for the benefit of its housing tenants.”
