Deal unveiled for Edinburgh firm

Ballantynes acquires letting agent Ream

Ballantynes has acquired the Edinburgh letting agent Ream and the company will trade as Ballantynes Ream.

With 300 properties under management it will sit within the Ballantynes Property Group .

Maureen Wallace, managing director and founder of Ream (Residential Estate & Asset Management), takes up the position of lettings director.

All existing staff will be retained and relocated to Ballantynes Property Group’s Edinburgh office.

Rory Ballantyne managing director of Ballantynes Property Group , said: “This acquisition follows our strategic decision to invest in our lettings division.

“This particular business also offers us the opportunity to increase our market share of lettings in the Edinburgh and the Central belt area which has long been a target and I can see it working really well within our portfolio of property services.”

Ms Wallace said:  “I am thrilled to have completed the sale of a business I founded 13 and a half years ago to a company I know share the same values and quality of service as I have in my company.

“I am pleased to be joining up with Rory and his team and look to working with them on our existing portfolio and a number of exciting new projects going forward.”
