Expansion in Glasgow
Trio of promotions at Wylie & Bisset
Graham Gillespie (pictured), who joined the firm after graduating in 2002 and specialises in internal audit work, has been promoted to partner. Catherine Livingstone, a specialist in charity audit, becomes senior manager, while Laura Fagan is promoted to head of general practitioner services in the healthcare team.
Mr Gillespie, 37, said: “The promotion shows that with hard work and talent, there is a clear pathway from trainee to partner, and I hope to act as a role model to others who have ambition to progress.”
One of Graham’s key tasks in his new role will be to build on the firm’s internal audit client base and to grow its portfolio in owner-managed businesses worth around £5-15 million.
Joint managing partners Donald McKinnon and Ross McLauchlan said: “All of the promotions support the firm’s future goals of business growth throughout the UK.”
Wylie & Bisset, based in Bath Street, Glasgow, employs 134 people. Both staff numbers and turnover are up by around 25% in the last three years and the firm is targeting similar levels of growth to 2020.
