Steiner joins growing Daily Business team

Daily Business has further bolstered its position as Scotland’s leading online business-led news service with a further addition to the team.

Former Daily Mail chief business correspondent Rupert Steiner (pictured) will be contributing to Daily Business from London.

Rupert, who also worked for The Sunday Times in London and Scotland, joins Rab McNeil, Paul Kiddie and Pauline Taylor at Daily Business which had 168,000 page views over the last quarter.

Other contributors include the commentator Brian Monteith, investments writers Alan Steel and Niels Footman and personal finance writer Lindsey Rogerson.

Editor Terry Murden said: “Rupert’s experience and contacts will further confirm Daily Business as the go-to Scottish news site for breaking business and financial news and analysis.

“We have enjoyed a good first half with a number of exclusive stories and the launch of Daily Business Magazine which provides more coverage of arts, interviews, features on working life and technology.

“This adds to our growing news and analysis of politics and sport.

“We have further plans for the second half as we approach our third birthday and consolidate the title’s position in the Scottish media.”
