Handepay to challenge payments rivals

Andy FergusonCard processing provider Handepay is expanding its operations in Scotland with plans to challenge existing providers.

The team, headed by Andy Ferguson, aims to grow the company’s Scottish customer base by 33% by the end of 2017.

Mr Ferguson, based in Kinross, has spent 20 years in the card payment industry and will be targeting the independent market, competing with the likes of iZettle.

Mark Latham, Handepay director, says: “While we’ve had a business presence, and customers, in Scotland for 10 years now, this is the first time that we’ve had a dedicated team that is permanently based there.”

Mr  Ferguson, adds: “With our growing team of experienced and professional people, I’m confident that we’ll more than surpass our goals.”
