Agency expands into Australia
Copylab extends reach with Sydney-based Lexicon
Copylab, the world’s largest specialist investment writing and communications agency, has launched a venture in Australia with the Sydney-based specialist agency, Lexicon.
The latest move by the Glasgow-based company extends its overseas operations. It already has representation in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
Earlier this year it completed its first ‘global’ project for an asset management client, analysing its communications programme in New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong.
Lexicon is a content marketing agency specialising in financial services. Led by Amanda Deacon and Ciara Waters, it works with Australian banks, superannuation providers and insurance companies to deliver content and marketing strategies which connect and inspire customers.
Australia is the sixth largest investment funds industry in the world with around $1.6 trillion invested in more than 9,000 funds, against $1.5 trillion in 3,900 funds in the UK.
Ross Hunter, founder and CEO of Copylab, said: “We want to be present where our clients are globally and we have been exploring a number of options to establish a presence in Australia for some time now.
“Australia has an economy that is stable and growing. The funds market is mature, and investment communications as an outsourced model is already well-established.
“A lot of our clients have a presence there and it is the most western-like market in Australasia in terms of appropriateness for Copylab’s services.
“In Lexicon we have a partner that shares our values and drive to enhance our services to these clients and develop exciting new opportunities throughout the country.”
Copylab has more than 50 writers on four continents that support asset managers with technical copywriting including outsourced fund reporting services, creative marketing communications, digital content, technical white papers and tailored copywriting training.
