Whitespace expands board after record figures
Creative agency Whitespace has expanded its senior management team following record fee income.
Frances Pratt, Alex Turnbull, Olly Jackson and Chris Davey are being promoted to associate director.
They will join managing partners Iain Valentine, Emma Jardine and Phillip Lockwood-Holmes on the board of the Edinburgh business.
Mr Valentine said the business is “excited about the energy and potential” of the new top-level team.
“While it’s great to post record numbers, it’s equally important that we have an environment that attracts the best people, allows them to flourish and we continue to focus on our culture and our clients because that underpins everything we do.”
Fee income was ahead of forecast at £4.5 million and turnover increased to £5.6m.
The staff promotions follow a strong 12 months in which it picked up a number of accounts including Highland Spring, Whyte & Mackay, and Green Investment Bank.
Whitespace was founded in 1997 and Mr Valentine joined as creative director in 2004. Together with Ms Jardine and Mr Lockwood-Holmes he carried out a management buyout in 2010.
The company is based in Norloch House, the former home of an investment bank near the castle.
Mr Valentine says the company is still on course to build its international business, as he revealed to Daily Business in 2015.
