New manager in Glenrothes

Stephenson switches from PwC to EQ

A new manager has been appointed in the Glenrothes office of EQ Accountants.

Michael Stephenson, 30, has joined from PwC. He qualified as a CA in 2012 and joins EQ as an audit manager having worked with PwC since embarking on his ICAS training in 2009.

He was based in Aberdeen as a CA trainee, progressing through to audit manager and, latterly, working from the firm’s Edinburgh Audit department from 2015.

In joining the Glenrothes team of almost 30 employees, he will look after a varied portfolio of clients, including those in the construction, technology, engineering and leisure sectors.

He said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to become part of a growing firm with a strong reputation across the North East and Central Belt.”

Mark Gibson, partner in Glenrothes, added, “To have attracted him from a ‘big four’ firm is a strong endorsement for EQ.”
