Make It Social raising £400k from angels

An online group booking company is raising £400,000 and increasing its staff by 50% to meet growing demand.

Make It Social, based in the Codebase technology incubator in Edinburgh, is recruiting four tech developers and a project managerand raising a further angel round of funding.

It has developed software enabling groups to book for events. 

Eddie Robb (pictured), MiS founder said:  “Major travel and ticketing organisations around the world in Europe, Australia and and USA are keen to work with us and this growth will allow us to do that.”

Make It Social was established in 2013.  Sports fans attending events such as the Harlequins Rugby team, Scottish Rugby Union, Surrey County Cricket Club and Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club already use the service.

In February the company announced it had partnered with the musical ‘Wicked’ to launch the West End’s first social booking service.
