Vardy’s Dundee CarStore due to open
Eager motorists are awaiting the opening of the new, supersized CarStore from automotive group, Peter Vardy in Dundee’s Dunsinane Industrial Estate.
The 8.5 acre brown-field site, former home of the Valentines Card Factory, will be one of the biggest car dealerships in Scotland. The 70,000 square foot indoor showroom incorporates state-of-the-art technology and space for more than 500 vehicles.
The site is scheduled to open on Saturday 13th May and will be the rapidly-expanding car group’s twelfth retail site in Scotland. Like the flagship CarStore in Braehead Glasgow site, the Dundee CarStore will be fitted-out with a range of family friendly spaces all intended to hugely enhance the guest’s car buying experience.
Peter Vardy, chief executive of the fast-growing group, said: “Work on our state-of-the-art Dundee CarStore is well under way, and we can’t wait till 13th May to throw open our doors to the car-buying public of Dundee.
“Providing the east coast of Scotland with a destination dealership of this scale and quality is something I have wanted to do for a while. I want the people of Dundee to be able to take their time in comfortable surroundings while they find the car of their dreams.”
Expectations are high for the new Dundee CarStore: the Glasgow supersite opened in 2014 and, in its first year of trading, sold over 3,500 vehicles and more than 4,000 in the second.
The Peter Vardy Group also operates Vauxhall dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay and five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW and MINI.
