Gregor Townsend will lead Scotland into Six Nations battle for the first time as head coach when he takes his side to Wales for the opening match of the championship on Saturday, 3 February 2018.

Following the trip to Cardiff, the Scots will host France at BT Murrayfield eight days later, while England head to Edinburgh on 24 February.

The campaign will see Scotland travel to face Ireland on 10 March and Italy on 17 March.

The fixtures have also been announced for the 2019 championship, with Scotland having home games against Italy, Ireland and Wales.

Former Glasgow Warriors boss Townsend has taken over the reins from Vern Cotter and takes charge of his first games on next month’s summer tour when Scotland take on the Italians in Singapore on 10 June before tackling Australia in Sydney a week later and then a Test against hosts Fiji on 24 June.
