Child safety system reins in distributor
Lucy Bostock has signed a deal with Bebelephant to build sales across the UK and is in talks with distributors in other countries.
Her business, More-2-Explore, was launched a year ago after she became separated from her five year old son on a day out. She developed a product designed for children aged 3 and above.
The competitive target market, families with children aged 2-5, is estimated to be worth over £3 million per year, in the UK alone.
Lucy joined the RBS Entrepreneurial Spark start-up hub in August last year and the company received a national award for innovation, from the Baby Product Association, at the Harrogate International Nursery Fair in March.
“My vision is to give parents the confidence to visit new places by ensuring they can keep their children safe,” she said.
More-2-Explore’s Adventure Belt allows parents to keep their children close and physically connected in busy or challenging situations.
The system is designed for children aged 2-5 years and ensures a neutral balance between parent and child – whilst keeping children safe at all times. For parents the system gives handsfree peace of mind, whilst ensuring children have a sense of independence.
