Senior hire for law firm

Shepherd + Wedderburn adds Lean to rural team

Hamish LeanLaw firm Shepherd & Wedderburn has appointed three lawyers to its Aberdeen office, including Hamish Lean (pictured), who figures highly in the leading legal directories.

Joining Mr Lean are senior associate, Emma Robertson, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the agricultural and rural law sector, and solicitor, Alex Smith whose work includes rural property sales and purchases.

All three appointments come within three months of the firm announcing its acquisition of the Commercial Law Practice (CLP), an independent business law firm, which has operated in Aberdeen and surrounding areas for more than 20 years.

Shepherd and Wedderburn, CEO Stephen Gibb, said the appointments, together with recent acquisitions and other hires, “opens a new chapter for the firm in the north east”.
