Honour for Glasgow games legacy company

Games villageCity Legacy, the consortium of housebuilders which developed the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes’ Village, is among the companies honoured in this year’s Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

Together with Cumbernauld’s CMS Windows, it received recognition for sustainable development.

The City Legacy project provided accommodation for 6,500 athletes and officials during the Games before being converted to 700 homes – 400 for social rental and 300 for private sale.

The consortium comprises CCG, Cruden, Mactaggart & Mickel and WH Malcolm.
