Gordon joins trustees of Arts & Business

Nicola GordonScottish charity Arts & Business Scotland has appointed Nicola Gordon to its board of trustees.

Ms Gordon is a director of Edinburgh Printmakers, the Scottish Oil Club and chairman of the Strategy Advisor Board at Heriot Watt University’s Institute of Petroleum Engineering.

She has almost 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, working across the globe and leading teams in the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, and Denmark.

Arts & Business Scotland acts as a conduit between the cultural and business sectors, encouraging creativity and cultural engagement across Scotland.

The charity recently launched is Culture & Business Fund Scotland, a pioneering new fund which aims to encourage greater partnership working between business, arts and heritage by match funding private sector sponsorship of cultural activities pound for pound.

Chairman Diana Murray, former chief executive of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS), said: “I welcome the opportunity to contribute to Scotland’s vibrant cultural and heritage sectors.

“Having worked extensively in the field of oil and gas, I am very much looking forward to working with people from both the cultural and business sectors and to being part of a community engaged in nurturing these creative, social and commercial relationships.”
