Barack Obama is to address a gathering of business people in Scotland next month as a guest of the Hunter Foundation

President Obama, as he will continue to be styled, will be in Scotland on 26 May for what will be his first visit to Scotland.

The 44th US president will address philanthropy and business leaders at a £5,000 per table charity dinner at the EICC.

Some seats at his speech will be reserved for young people.

President Obama has been tipped as the next speaker at the Scottish Business Awards which have previously attracted Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio.
