Holders face Aberdeen

Old Firm to contest Cup semi-final

Scottish CupCeltic and Rangers will meet in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden, while holders Hibernian Aberdeen contest the other tie.

The draw followed Aberdeen’s narrow 1-0 victory over Partick Thistle, the last of the quarter final matches.

Celtic earlier saw off St Mirren 4-1 after surviving a potential upset when the visitors took the lead.

On Saturday, Rangers beat Hamilton 6-0 and Hibernian overcame Ayr United 3-1 at Easter Road.

The semi-final ties will be played on April 22/23.

 

Celtic and Rangers meet in the league next Sunday, with Brendan Rodgers’ team winning all three matches between the sides so far this season.

Scottish Cup odds:

Celtic 11/25 favourites, Aberdeen 4/1, Rangers 6/1 and Hibs 11/1 to retain the Cup they won last year.
