A Glasgow-based utilities management company, previously known as Business Advisory Support, has announced it has rebranded under the name ‘eyebright’.
Eyebright is an independent company providing procurement and contract management in electricity, gas, water, telecoms, and merchant services contracts.
The company aims to source the most suitable, cost-effective utility deals for its clients. Eyebright’s services are most beneficial to small-medium sized businesses and multi-site businesses, particularly in the food & drinks, and hospitality industry.
The company ethos is to save client’s time, hassle, and money on their bills with a thorough end-to-end service that takes care of all negotiations and paperwork associated with switching tariffs and suppliers. Eyebright also focus on environmental benefits by promoting green energy options and water saving solutions to its clients.
Several millions of pounds saved
Aiming to be the most trusted business utilities management company in Scotland, eyebright has saved several millions of pounds for its clients since the company’s formation in 2009.
Managing Director Jamie Newall said: “As a team, we are very excited about the rebrand and the positive impact it will have on the company. In the next year, we hope to grow by 20%, bringing our client base to over 1,000. We also plan to continue increasing our staffing levels and develop our technology base.
“We have received significant help from Business Gateway over several years. Currently, we are engaged with Business Gateway through the Growth Advisory Service.
“Working with our advisor, we had numerous strategy meetings and one of the key outcomes was re-branding the company to reflect the growth in key accounts and product diversification which our existing brand did not appear to include.
“Business Gateway has also supported us with grants including Glasgow Guarantee which has allowed us to increase our capacity by recruiting a graduate as marketing & sales manager.”
According to Greek mythology, the flower eyebright is said to have magical powers that help users see a situation clearly and objectively. In line with the company’s key beliefs, eyebright is striving to provide its clients with detailed insight into their utilities contracts to increase their efficiency and profitability.

Marketing and sales manager Sabrina Exner said: “The name is supposed to symbolise how we can help our clients to ‘see’ their utility bills more clearly and open their eyes to better and more cost-effective options. We want to give our clients all the insight required to make the best decision for their business.
“Clients can get an all-inclusive service and we want to make businesses aware that we do all the footwork and we can arrange contracts for other important utilities besides energy or water.
“The aim of the rebrand is to better represent what we’re already proud of and the standards we live by. We strive to care and commit to our clients and make positive changes for businesses and communities by empowering them to be informed decision-makers.”
Bill Cameron, Business Gateway adviser said: “We have engaged with Jamie over the last six years as eyebright grew and more recently went through a rebrand.
“Our support was centred around strategic assistance as well as looking at potential funding opportunities via schemes including the Glasgow Guarantee and SMART awards. We will continue to support eyebright as it moves forward with further expansion plans.”
The rebrand is also intended to reflect how the company has grown and changed since being founded. Staffing levels have trebled over the last five years and the company’s reach has expanded from Glasgow and Edinburgh to businesses across Scotland.
